Fokker E.I

Fokker E.I

The Eindecker

Also known as the Eindecker. Infamous for its use of the Fokker Synchroniser Gear , the name and pilots who flew this instilled fear into those who had to face them in the skies. This plane was the world's first dedicated fighter aircraft, and was the cause for the Fokker Scourge, during which Allied pilots called their planes Fokker Fodder. Sporting a set of twin synchronized machine-guns, this plane had kills in the hundreds. However, only 54 of these were ever produced. This was flown by many famous German aces, such as Manfred von Richthofen and Oswald Boelcke
