The Mark I

The British Mark I was the first of the mark series of tanks. The Mark I had two variants; the male and female variants. The females sported four .303 Vickers machine-guns and a .303 Hotchkiss machine-gun whereas the males sported three.303 Hotchkiss machine-guns and two 6 pdr. QF cannons. Its fuel tanks were in the track horns which allowed it to use gravity to pull the fuel down into the engine. The armour on the Mark I was 6–12 mm (about 0.47 in) thick, and it had a top speed of 7 km/h.
