The Camel

The Sopwith Camel was a biplane used by the allies in the Great War. It was a single-seater fighter aircraft. It could fly at a top speed of 185 kmph or 115 mph. Because it was a biplane, it could fly slower due to the increased lift generated by it's wings compared to that of a monoplane. It also sported twin synchronized Vickers machine-guns that fired through the propeller disc to allow for higher accuracy. The Camel would go on to shoot down more German planes than any other plane on the allied side.
